Whoopt alternatives: how we compare to other AI dating assistants

Whoopt is an AI dating app — an AI texting coach that reads your real conversations, learns how you and the other person text, and suggests replies in your own voice. It sits in the same category as RIZZ and YourMove AI, but it solves a narrower problem than most of them: the middle of a conversation, not the opener and not your photos. If that is not your problem, one of the alternatives below will serve you better, and we have said which.

Last verified: 12 August 2026. Checked against Apple's App Store lookup across five storefronts, the App Store and Google Play listings, and each product's own website. Third-party review sites were used to find candidates, never as a source for a published claim.

What Whoopt actually does

Whoopt is an AI dating app — an AI dating assistant that reads the conversations you are already having and helps you write the next message. It works alongside Hinge, Bumble, Tinder, Instagram and WhatsApp; it is not itself a dating app, so there is no matching and no swiping. You paste a chat or upload a screenshot, and Whoopt keeps a persistent profile for each person, so it remembers the running context instead of starting cold every time. Six Texting DNA sliders — vibe, humor, flirting, depth, pace and words — constrain every suggestion to sound like you. Woo is the assistant inside the app; it suggests, and you always send the message yourself. There is a free tier, and Premium is available on weekly, monthly and quarterly plans, with live prices shown in-app and in the app stores.

Alternatives, and when to pick them

RIZZ (TREND IT LLC)

What it does. Reads a screenshot of your chat or your match's bio and generates replies in a chosen tone.

Pick this over Whoopt if. You want the broadest, most battle-tested reply generator — 39,000 ratings at 4.8 is real signal, and it is on both iOS and Android.

Pick Whoopt instead if. You are talking to the same person over weeks and want Woo to hold that history, or you want explicit control over how the suggestions sound rather than trusting an invisible style model.

Pricing. Free to download. In-app purchases run $3.99–$99.99, including Unlimited RIZZ at $4.99 and INFINITE RIZZ — One Year at $69.99. Source: App Store listing.

YourMove AI

What it does. Generates dating profile bios, openers from profile screenshots, replies to received messages, plus profile review and AI photos.

Pick this over Whoopt if. Your problem is upstream of the conversation — nobody is replying because the profile or the opener is the weak link. Whoopt does not touch either.

Pick Whoopt instead if. Your matches reply and then it dies. That is the middle of the conversation, and it needs something that holds the thread and the person in memory.

Pricing. Free to download; in-app purchases are Monthly $12.99 and Annual $44.99, plus one-off Basic $29.99, Plus $49.99 and Premium $79.99 tiers, with discounted variants at $19.99, $34.99 and $59.99. Photo features are charged separately. No public pricing page exists, so the store listing is the source. Source: App Store listing.

What we could not confirm. We could not confirm whether YourMove has a free usage allowance. Third-party sites widely claim one; YourMove's own site does not mention it and has no public pricing page, so we do not state it either way.

Roast

What it does. Scores your dating photos, reviews your whole profile — lineup, bio, prompts — and can generate profile photos.

Pick this over Whoopt if. You are not getting matches at all. No amount of good replying fixes a profile nobody swipes on, and Whoopt does not review photos.

Pick Whoopt instead if. You match fine and the conversation is where it goes wrong.

Pricing. Their site advertises $39/month for the profile package — 40 AI photos, profile analysis, bio and strategy, one-hour delivery. The iOS app sells Roast Pro at $9.99/week or $29.99/month. Source: roast.dating.

What we could not confirm. Roast's pricing moved recently and third-party reviews still quote an older tier structure that does not appear on their live site. Only the figures above come from Roast's own surfaces, web and app pricing differ, and none of it is a one-time purchase. We could not confirm any free tier or free first score.

CupidBot

What it does. Swipes and messages autonomously on your dating apps and schedules the resulting dates.

Pick this over Whoopt if. You genuinely want it hands-off. Whoopt will never do this — Woo suggests, you send — so if that is what you are after, we are the wrong app on purpose.

Pick Whoopt instead if. You want to be able to stand behind every message you sent when you are sitting across from them.

Pricing. $30 on their own product page, listed as reduced from $90, with no billing period stated. That page currently shows the product as out of stock. Source: cupidbot.ai.

What we could not confirm. CupidBot is not distributed through the App Store or Google Play, and its own product page currently shows it as out of stock. It is reachable, but we cannot call it actively distributed, and its page states a single price with no billing period, so we could not establish whether that charge is one-off or recurring.

Just texting them yourself

Pick this over Whoopt if. You already know what you want to say and you are only stalling. No app fixes hesitation, and a reply you wrote at 60% confidence beats a polished one that is not yours.

Pick Whoopt instead if. You genuinely go blank, or you keep sending something that lands wrong and cannot work out why.

Pricing. Free.

A general chatbot (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)

Pick this over Whoopt if. You want a one-off second opinion on a single message and you do not mind pasting the context in yourself every time. It is free and it is decent at this.

Pick Whoopt instead if. You want it to remember the person across weeks, hold your texting style without re-explaining it, and read a screenshot without you transcribing the thread.

Pricing. Free tiers on all three, with paid plans for heavier use.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Whoopt?

It depends which part of dating is going wrong. If your first messages get no reply, YourMove AI is the better pick — it handles openers and the profile behind them. If you want your photos and bio assessed, Roast is the clearest choice. Whoopt is the pick for mid-conversation coaching: replying well to a thread that has already started.

Is there a free alternative to Whoopt?

Yes. A general chatbot — ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini — is free and genuinely decent at looking over a single message, as long as you paste the context in yourself each time. Whoopt also has its own free tier with limited replies and connections, so you can compare them without paying for either.

Is Whoopt a dating app?

No. Whoopt has no matching, no swiping and no user-to-user contact, so you will not meet anyone through it. It is an AI dating assistant that works alongside the dating apps you already use, helping you reply to the people you have already matched with.

Does Whoopt work with Hinge and Bumble?

Yes, and with any texting app — Tinder, Instagram, WhatsApp and ordinary messages included. It works by screenshot or copy-paste rather than by connecting to your account, so there is nothing to link and no login to hand over.

Is Whoopt free?

There is a free tier with a limited number of replies and connections, and no card required to start. Premium unlocks unlimited replies and connections plus the weekly Vibe Check, sold as weekly, monthly and quarterly plans. Live prices are shown in-app and in the app stores.

Does Whoopt send messages for me?

Never. Woo suggests replies and you edit and send them yourself from your own app. This is a deliberate design decision rather than a missing feature — if you want something that answers your matches unattended, Whoopt is the wrong tool.
